About Isobel Waller-Bridge

Established in the world of film, TV, and theater, Isobel Waller-Bridge is a versatile and prolific, award-winning composer/sound designer, equally comfortable creating orchestral works and experimental electronic soundscapes. She contributed to orchestration for George Fenton's Ivor Novello Award-winning soundtrack to the 2009 BBC nature documentary Life, and won awards in 2014 for work on Claire Oakley's short film James and Nick Payne's theater production Incognito. Her sister, Phoebe, found fame as the star of BBC TV's comedy-drama Fleabag in 2016, and it was Isobel's heavy metal-inspired guitar riffs that bookended each episode of the multi-award-winning show. She excelled on an electronic score to Chanya Button's 2018 Vita & Virginia, and later worked on 2020's Emma and 2022's I Came By. That year, 12 Ensemble performed on her VIII EP, and she composed for an animated adaptation of Charlie Mackesy's book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.
