About Charlie A'Court
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a teenager, I remember sitting down and learning Clapton's Unplugged Album note for note, front to back. I grew up loving blues and soul but was also drawn to adult contemporary and Clapton has always been an example of how to blend the two. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eric Clapton, One More Car, One More Rider (Live On Tour 2001) Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Weathervanes Martin Sexton, Seeds Clapton: This album is Clapton at his best sounding and playing. Stellar production and amazing lineup. Isbell: He's my north star on how to be a better writer. Sexton: Hi use of falsetto is so playful and inspiring. Check out "Wild Angels"! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Chains of Gold” Over time, I've been evolving more into an Americana space with my music and writing. This song to me represents that subconscious shift that's been taking place in head and in my heart. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I just want to feel like I belong. It's those moments when I'm included and feel like I'm a part of something special, like being in a moment with the crowd and feeling connected. It's validating and makes me feel like I matter. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely, I want to see the world through music. I want to perform at festivals and share in that amazing atmosphere. I want to open for Clapton. And, if it's not too much trouble, I'd love to win my first Juno before I leave.
