Ayshea

About Ayshea

b. England. Ayshea released her first single, ‘Eeny Meeny’, for Fontana Records in 1965, at which time she was still only 16 years old. Further ‘teen-pop’ singles followed, including ‘Celebration Of The Year’ and ‘Taking The Sun From My Eyes’, after she had moved to Polydor Records, whose staff producer, Chris Brough, she had married. Her self-titled debut album followed in 1970. Through the early 70s Ayshea became a well-known figure via her appearances on her own children’s television show, Lift Off With Ayshea. An album of the same title was released in 1974 for her third record label, DJM Records. She also appeared on Top Of The Pops as a backing singer for Wizzard, amid some speculation that she was romantically involved with Roy Wood.
