About APB

Formed in Toronto as the Airplane Boys, childhood friends Mannie Serranilla and Jason Drakes -- who used the names Beck Motley and Bon Voyage as aliases -- were a prolific hip-hop duo. Their 2011 debut, Where've You Been, was largely produced by Carlo "Illangelo" Montagnese. Released in 2012, Alignment made use of many more producers, including Arthur McArthur and KMS, while 2013's Brave New World appeared ahead of a prestigious appearance at the South by Southwest festival. That summer also brought a collaboration with the DJ/producer Jealous Much? on the single "What's Your Name Girl?" The politically motivated Egos & Expectations appeared in 2014. ~ James Wilkinson
