About Ant Clemons
R&B singer and songwriter Ant Clemons gained notice for his work behind-the-scenes with Kanye West and Beyoncé.
• Clemons got his start flying from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to network with songwriters and producers. In 2018, a connection with producer Bongo ByTheWay led to Clemons working on a Jeremih demo that would ultimately become “All Mine” on Kanye West’s 2018 Ye album.
• He earned credits on three songs—“Selah,” “Everything We Need,” and “Water”—off West’s next album, 2019’s Jesus is King. Clemons also became a lead vocalist for the rapper’s Sunday Service Choir.
• Clemons linked up with Beyoncé to write “Mood 4 Eva,” from her 2019 soundtrack album The Lion King: The Gift.
• In March 2020, he released his debut project as a vocalist, Happy 2 Be Here, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.
