In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 3 my mom taught me 'Blue Moon' on a toy keyboard. she wrote notes on pieces of surgical tape since she's a nurse and rented a theory book from the library. She was never formally trained musically but taught me "Que Sera Sera" on karaoke. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anderson .Paak, Oxnard Bruno Mars, Unorthodox Jukebox Natasha Bedingfield, Pocketful of Sunshine Unorthodox Jukebox taught me I can do whatever I want. Pocketful of Sunshine for songwriting and nostalgia. Oxnard, for feel and cadence plus I relate to it right now being a new Los Angeles transplant. WEI, Question & JaMichael)” This song was my first baby I fully wrote which felt was true to my artistry. One that I built in my head and was able to translate on Logic Pro X.
