In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 9 years old, my older brother and sister both quit piano lessons. I was going to quit in solidarity, and my mom talked me out of it. She said that when I got older, I would be happy I kept taking lessons. She was right! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sam and Diane” I wrote this at the keyboard, headphones on. I wanted to hear it on the real piano. About 20 seconds in, my daughter dropped what she was doing and said "What IS that?" And I thought, "huh". Plus it's a rare happy song in a sea of sad piano music!
