Ampersounds

Comprised of two children of the mid-'70s -- French producer and bassist Fred Falke and English DJ Zen Freeman -- this L.A.-based electronic duo chose their Ampersounds name in 2020. While their earlier collaborations, like 2019's "Watch the Sun," focused on a hard-hitting, purist house vibe, their efforts under this alternate moniker placed texture and songcraft at the forefront, as heard on Ampersounds' 2021 work with Rufus Wainwright: the effervescent "Technopera" and the more tempered "Solitude of Heart."
