About Abhorrent

Brazil's death/thrash metal band Abhorrent was formed in the capital city of Brasilia in 1988 -- around the same time Sepultura was putting the South American country's fast-growing metal scene on the international radar. But it was only in 1996 that their first album, simply entitled Rage, was finally released, and by then, singer Robson Aldeoli was the lone remaining founding member. In 1999, Abhorrent contributed a cover of "She Wolf" to the A Tribute to Megadeth album, but it would be two more years before another new line-up, including Marcus Vireoli (guitar), Hudson Andre (guitar), Leandro Soares (bass), and Carlos Fibrian (drums) was assembled for the recording of 2001's Caution! Strong Irritant L.P. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
