About 10 Years

The rock band 10 Years started out playing heavy metal songs with screamer vocals, but they shifted to a melodic, Tool-influenced sound behind new lead singer Jesse Hasek in 2001. ∙ Their single “Wasteland” topped Billboard’s Active Rock chart a year after its release. ∙ Hasek intended to disband 10 Years before he persuaded departed founding members Brian Vodinh and Matt Wantland to rejoin him for 2015’s (how to live) AS GHOSTS. ∙ On the deluxe edition of (how to live) AS GHOSTS, the band covered Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion.” ∙ Formed as an outlet for Vodinh’s heavier material, Brave the Royals released their debut album, Abstraction, in 2019.
