Don and Phil Everly began singing together while in diapers, so it’s no surprise that their unmistakable harmonies were already fully formed on their debut album. Their secret weapons were songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, who channeled teen angst and misbehavin’ on guitar-driven pop-rockers like “Bye Bye Love” and “Wake Up Little Susie.” Covers of Ray Charles’ “This Little Girl of Mine” and "Leave My Woman Alone" add an R&B feel, while Don Everly’s countrified weeper “Maybe Tomorrow” epitomizes their gentle side.
