Editors' Notes For their third album, the indie duo switch to full-on high-octane electro-pop, thrusting you straight into a dark, surreal '80s disco. Throughout Sound Kapital, fidgety, fuzzed-out beats get tightly wound around glowing synths that whoosh and squeal with terror and delight. The album throbs incessantly, in the industrial buzz of "When I Get Back" and the prickly New Wave groove of "Memories of the Future." Dan Boeckner's Springsteen-esque wails add a triumphant rush to it all, especially on the euphoric dance-punk anthem "Repatriated."
