5 Songs, 15 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Cole Swindell had already found a bit of success as a songwriter before he began scoring breezy contemporary country hits of his own in 2013. Since then, he hasn’t gone a year without releasing new music. Between official albums, he draws from his growing catalogue for a low-key series of EPs dubbed the Down Home Sessions. Volume four featured his stripped-down versions of familiar songs that he helped write for other artists, but he's stocked volume five with glossily produced new tunes of hometown nostalgia ("Right Where I Left It"), off-the-clock revelry ("Drinkin' Hours"), and gentlemanly flirtation ("All Nighter").
