Inspired by their 2015 Ibiza Prom night, Pete Tong and conductor Jules Buckley re-work iconic dance tracks with a 65-piece orchestra. Orchestral re-fits draw even more melodic beauty out of The Sabres of Paradise’s “Smokebelch II” and Orbital’s “Belfast”. Some things that made these songs classics can’t be bettered though and the synth motifs and bass grooves driving Inner City’s “Good Life” and Frankie Knuckles’ “Your Love” are wisely preserved while strings gently drift in to enhance the visceral impact.
