4 Songs, 13 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

In between his second and third albums, Eric Church apparently had more songs flowing out of him than he could fit on one album. The result is the Caldwell County EP. The first three tunes are straight-across-the-plate heartland country rockers, the kind that Church's signature blend of twang and bang is made for. The fourth's a curveball: a solo acoustic take on Sammy Johns' '70s hit "Chevy Van" that suggests Church has a passion for the golden age of AM pop.
