Revival Black

About Revival Black

Drawing on aspects of 1970s and '80s hard rock, classic rock, and blues-rock, the Liverpool, U.K. act Revival Black was founded in 2018 when vocalist Dan Byrne joined members of Black Cat Bones to form a new and particularly raucous outfit. By the end of the same year, the band issued their debut single, the bluesy "Hold Me Down," which they followed in 2019 with the Guns N' Roses-inspired "Wide Awake." After a few more singles, their self-released debut album, Step in Line, appeared later that year, instantly aligning them with the New Wave of Classic Rock movement. A late 2020 live-streamed lockdown gig at Tamworth's The Live Rooms was issued as Live in Your Lounge, and Revival Black returned in 2022 with a second studio LP, Under the Light.
