Aleksandr Ivanov Essentials

With a voice that can leap from a hushed whisper to a screaming soprano, Muscovite singer Aleksandr Ivanov performed with various bands in the '80s. Most notably, he fronted the renowned progressive jazz rockers of Rondo—hit singles like “Pale Bartender (Part of the Universe)” and “I'll Remember” spurred a series of hard rock and pop rock classics. In the late '90s, Ivanov pursued a solo career before returning to a reformed Rondo. The band picked up where they left off with riotous riffs and rousing choruses.
