Editors' Notes Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark are essential to synth-pop's history, but their story doesn't end with the early ‘80s. “We Love You,” from 1986, is a thrilling example of New Wave grabbing pop's stadium-filling brass ring, while 1991's pulsing “Call My Name” is indebted to house and Hi-NRG. Fast-forward to 2013, and “Metroland” finds them coming full circle to the silky synths and wistful melodies they helped popularize in the first place.
