Born Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, the Nigerian singer-songwriter collected the accolade off the back of his 2020 breakout hit “MJ”, that spawned remixes with both Teni and Mayorkun. Revealing a collaborative impulse Timz has since worked alongside Zlatan, Rexxie, Blaqbonez and Yaw Tog. His most fruitful collaboration is on Olamide’s vibrant hit “Loading,” crafted before the artists exchanged the baton once more on the logdrum-infused “Skelele”. Pairing smooth lyricism, fun melodies and rhythmic turns, Timz folds pop, Afrobeats and R&B into his infectious sound.
