City and Colour, Sometimes Emery, I'm Only a Man John Paul White, Beulah These records shaped the songs I wrote. They all have always spoken to me musically and lyrically. I wrote it from a place of being overwhelmed and wanting to get away. It's one of my memories of going on road trips with my parents ending up somewhere on the Blueridge Parkway or Nashville, TN. The lap steel is beautiful! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing for the second time in Nashville at Crooner Circus at Live Oak. It all started as a co-write with Noah Smith. We were in his kitchen when he said, "You gotta shut up and get in the van sometimes". That is exactly what I did!
