Steven Halpern Essentials

Previously a jazz musician, Steven Halpern gave up the frenetic and extemporaneous exchanges of the genre to compose music intended to calm the body and the mind. His debut album, Spectrum Suite, was released in '75 and is one of the earliest records in the canon of new age music. Since then, the prolific artist has steadily produced high-selling work that mixes a love of synthesizer sounds and eastern instrumentation with a focus on music as a tool for meditation and healing.
