While tightly wound tracks like the upbeat “Feel the Beat (Everybody Disco)” and the defiantly saucy “Not So Sad and Lonely” flaunted Ohio Players' talent for crafting economical funk, long explorations of groove like the winding “Everybody Up” and the drowsy, solo-studded “Good Luck Charm” showcased both the skill of and the chemistry between the Dayton-born band's superlative players.
