The spark that ignited among a quintet of rhythmically inclined school friends has since grown into decades of sonic exploration. Taking their inspiration from the ’90s samba grooves of Katinguelê and Exaltasamba, Imaginasamba began jamming at barbecues and parties in their native Nova Iguaçu. Their vibrant, vividly emotive take on romantic pagode has evolved and expanded over the years, drawing in influences like reggaetón and R&B.
