Getter Essentials

Getter can be crude, sure; he's the kind of guy to punctuate a hyped-up dubstep anthem (“Wat the Frick [VIP Mix]”) with the sound of someone belching. But that refusal to play by anyone's rules found the California producer greeted as a hero when he arrived on the ‘10s bass scene. Well, that, plus his incredible skill at turning out brain-rearranging breakbeat workouts (“Big Mouth”) and evil, electro-infused trap (“Head Splitter”). As he proves on “666!”, projecting vintage rave stabs through a future-house lens, he's as inventive as he is irreverent.
