In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was just a kid in elementary school, I would listen to my dad cover popular songs on guitar from the 70's and 80's including Jackson Browne and others. I learned to play guitar from my dad and his voice has always been a big influence to me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Counting Crows, August and Everything After Dave Matthews Band, Before These Crowded Streets Weezer, Weezer These albums shaped my childhood. I remember first hearing that Counting Crows album and just becoming completely transfixed and blown away by how the lyrics and melody were almost completely stream of consciousness. Tell us why you chose this song. “You Will Be Free” I love this song because although I wrote it to provide comfort to others in difficult times it has circled back and provided me comfort as well. Even when we sometimes may feel like God is not there, He is present and wanting to carry us through.
