In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My grandmother played the piano and was an extremely loving and creative person. I remember as a child I was always playing her piano while she was in the kitchen and every time I hit a wrong note she would correct me always with love and support. Keith Jarrett Trio, Still Live Oscar Peterson Trio, We Get Requests Originals Tord Gustavsen Trio, Changing Places When I first got into jazz as a teenager it was via blues and rock so naturally I fell for artists who draw on this tradition, like Oscar Peterson and John Scofield. Later on especially Keith Jarrett has had an enormous impact on my playing. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Echoes” I love the simplicity of this song and although I don't listen a lot to my own music this one always calms me down. It's a vibe and collective playing I want to explore more in my future releases.
