Narum

Narum are a Norwegian roots music trio that reached Top Five success in 2009 with their full-length album debut. Founded in 2006 and hailing from Oppland, Norway, the trio is comprised of Søsknene Benedikte (vocals, guitar), Jon Anders (guitar), and Lars Christian (piano). They cite influences that include Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, and Neil Young. Upon signing a recording deal with Warner Music, Narum made their major-label debut with the single "Je Veit Et Stelle" in early 2009. The single proved popular and set the stage for the summertime release of the trio's full-length debut, Samma Hen Du Fær, a Top Five hit on the Norwegian albums chart. ~ Jason Birchmeier
