About Egmond

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Recording my first song This Morning was scary. I had never been in a studio. Being there when the track was created and recording vocals was an exhilarating experience. I instantly knew that I belonged. It was an incredible high then. It still is. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ace of Base, Ace of Base: Singles of the 90s Enya, Paint the Sky With Stars - The Best of Enya Roxette, Don't Bore Us - Get To the Chorus! Roxette's Greatest Hits These were my first Best Of albums by 3 of my favourite artists. They've released other collections later, but these were my childhood icons and being able to get these were like having all of my memories on one CD back in the day. I still own these. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Encore (Op Die Radio)” A very old song from 03 recorded in 22. It had a different title and lyrics through the years, but I never believed in it; until I rediscovered its strong melody. It just needed the right lyrics. So I wrote them. It showed me never to dismiss my art. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After my first radio interview I got a call from a radio station in another province. The song Mors had suddenly spread to other stations and I never expected it. I was so proud to know somebody liked it. And that they liked it enough to play it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to have one my songs featured in a film or tv series. I guess that's every artist's dream, right?
