Good Charlotte Essentials

Formed in 1996, Good Charlotte empowered the young and hopeless with pop-punk anthems stuffed with triumphant hooks. Led by brothers Benji and Joel Madden, the band worked through their growing pains on the spiky, guitar-fuelled "The Anthem" and the half-rapped high-school ode "Little Things" As the '00s advanced, so did their sound with the feel-good funk of "I Just Wanna Live" and the gloomy synth-rock of "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl". Still, they remain forever young, with their snarky sense of humour firmly intact—even when it's soaked in Auto-Tune ("40 oz. Dream").
