Radio Slave Essentials

Despite being active in the UK’s house and techno scenes since the early ’90s, Matt Edwards didn’t gain wider attention until the turn of the millennium, thanks to a series of remixes and edits for higher-profile acts. In the following years he fine-tuned his compositions under various aliases—including Radio Slave. Tracks such as “Acid Dip” and “Geisterstadt” hark back to the now Berlin-based DJ/producer’s club origins. But the restless sonic explorer also draws inspiration from the synth-heavy sounds of the 1980s (“Bell Clap Dance”) and even ambient (“Ghost”).
