Lower Than Atlantis don't like to stick with one sound for too long. From their snotty hardcore roots (“Far Q”) to the cinematic sweep of their more recent material (“Another Sad Song,” “English Kids in America”), they've been in a constant state of evolution, refining their melodic and harmonic abilities and playing with their dynamic range. And yet they've conceded very little ground in the ferocity of their guitar attack, suggesting those punk roots aren't buried too far below the surface.
