Corrosion of Conformity Essentials

Corrosion of Conformity blasted their way out of the North Carolina hardcore punk scene in 1982. By 1984's debut album, Eye for an Eye, they had turned to the dark side adding thrash guitars. In the ‘90s, their sound veered from speed-metal tempos to Sabbath-heavy riffs. Their long career has been characterised by band members leaving for several years only to return to the fold—most notably vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan, who jumped ship to concentrate on Phil Anselmo's Down in 2006, but was back on board fronting CoC by 2014.
