The Well Pennies

About The Well Pennies

The Well Pennies are a husband-and-wife folk-pop duo from Los Angeles. Bryan and Sarah Vanderpool first met in Boston, where they had both been pursuing careers as solo singer/songwriters and gigging at many of the same clubs. Their mutual support blossomed into romance and they soon decided to join forces creatively. The newly married couple relocated to Los Angeles, where they released their self-titled debut EP in 2012. Inspired by acts like Sufjan Stevens, the Weepies, and the Civil Wars, the Well Pennies combined tight harmonies with lush arrangements, creating their own blend of warmhearted folk-pop. In 2013, they spearheaded a compilation of American indie acts covering Beatles songs called The Beatles Reimagined, to which they contributed a cover of "All My Loving." The collection also featured Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, among other up and coming artists. Their full-length debut, Endlings, arrived in January 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
