Steve Adamyk Band

About Steve Adamyk Band

After playing in Sedatives and the Million Dollar Marxists, Steve Adamyk started a new group as a vehicle for his solo material, and named it the Steve Adamyk Band, fleshing out the band with three of the four former members of Sedatives. The tunes took their influence from ‘70s British punk and ‘80s power pop, and the group added a gritty style popularized by modern acts like Jay Reatard, Exploding Hearts, and Marked Men. After three singles, the band released a self-titled full-length in 2010. The following year, the band toured Europe, performed at SXSW, and finished their sophomore album, Forever Won't Wait, which was released in November 2011. ~ Jason Lymangrover
