About Nomadic Soundscapes
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is standing on a quiet riverbank as a child, listening to the sound of water. I didn’t think of it as music back then, but I remember being completely absorbed by the rhythm and texture of the sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Barbara Thornton, Sequentia, Hildegard von Bingen: Canticles of Ecstasy Brian Eno, Ambient 1: Music for Airports Nils Frahm, All Melody This album feels timeless, like a voice traveling untouched across centuries. It reminds me that presence and spirituality can be transmitted through sound alone. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Grey Heron and Tawny Owl Call in Night” This recording captures the evening atmosphere of a wetland. It is special because nothing has been staged or directed. It is a moment of the world as it is – unedited, honest, breathing. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments was recording in the Hardangervidda plateau in Norway, alone in the middle of a snow-covered valley. There was almost no sound at all, just slow wind and distant ravens. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely. I would love to create a long-form sound atlas — a kind of living map where listeners can travel through landscapes purely through sound. I also dream of recording in the Arctic, where silence, wind, and ice have their own music.
