About I.O.I

The eleven members of the South Korean girl group I.O.I came together via the first season of the South Korean competition series Produce 101. • The group’s name is an acronym for “Ideal of Idol”. • Though short-lived, I.O.I had several hits, including 2016’s “Whatta Man”, which drew on the legacies of Linda Lyndell’s 1968 hit “What a Man” and Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue’s 1993 update, “Whatta Man”. • I.O.I reached No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart with their 2016 hit “Very Very Very”. • Since the group’s disbandment in 2017, all of the members have either pursued solo careers as singers or actors or joined other girl groups.
