Hannah Morrison

About Hannah Morrison

Soprano Hannah Morrison has made a major impact beginning in the mid-2010s in performances of Baroque music led by John Eliot Gardiner, Paul Agnew, William Christie, Masaaki Suzuki, and other top conductors in the field. Recording an album of Purcell songs with Christie and Les Arts Florissants as early as 2007, Morrison has often toured with that group. Morrison has also given Lieder recitals with pianist Lara Jones, appeared on several volumes of Hyperion's complete edition of Mendelssohn's songs, and given recitals with lutenist Sören Leupold. She made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2013, performing in Handel's Alexander's Feast. Morrison's recording schedule has become consistently busier in the mid-2010s; she was featured on three recordings in 2017. ~ James Manheim
