About Bryan Popin

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Bryan Popin began his career at age 12, playing piano with a touring gospel group out of his native New Jersey. The son of a choir director, Popin embraced Christian music at an early age and spent his teen years recording instrumental piano-based worship albums before beginning to dabble in pop music. Through friend and R&B producer Ira Schickman, Popin met and co-wrote a song with Justin Timberlake that was featured on *NSYNC's 2001 album Celebrity. He eventually went on to collaborate with soul legend Chaka Khan as well. With his heart deeply rooted in gospel music and a strong interest in the pop world, Popin eventually scored a deal with eOne Music to release 2013's You Can Make It, his first vocal-based worship album that he co-produced with Schickman. In 2015, he returned with Peace Series, Vol. 1, an instrumental worship album of soothing pieces for solo piano. The AyRon Lewis-produced single, "I Got Out," appeared in 2017. ~ Timothy Monger
