Anyone can make garage rock; this L.A. outfit specialises in S&M-dungeon rock. Albeit Living is a bacchanal of strobe-lit, whiplashed synth-punk soaked in more sweat and stench than a PVC bodysuit worn during a heatwave. Whether taking the form of motorik electro (“Ripped”) or robo-rockabilly raunch (“Who Killed Six”), Albeit Living oozes so much libidinous lechery that, by the time we hit the propulsive post-punk of “Sterilized”, even deviant frontman Brady Keehn is begging for relief.
