The wildly eccentric White Denim make it their business to sound utterly unlike anybody else in indie rock. Using garage punk for a base, the Austin outfit ransack psychedelia, funk, progressive rock, and even Tropicália for a wide assortment of compositional elements. The result is a dizzyingly intricate style of music that spins like a kaleidoscope and feels like it's forever on the verge of breaking into a million tiny fragments.
