Gilbert Cohen set up Versatile Records in 1996, bringing his eclectic electronic music taste to a mass audience. Electro-pop duo Zombie Zombie take inspiration from early synthesizer music, horror film soundtracks and the driving rhythms of Krautrock. Etienne Jaumet's sound is even more unusual—he combines ambient textures with jazz-infused brass and processed beats.
