Dirk Da Davo and TB Frank formed New Wave group The Neon Judgement in the Belgian city of Leuven in the early ‘80s. Through their work, the pair developed a new genre of dance; a cool mix of industrial and EDM that was heavy on synthesisers and surging drum machines. Electronic body music—or EBM as it would become known—established that foreboding music could also be danceable. And while their output has evolved to incorporate guitars, they continue to release music that's at home in today's clubs.
