Poison Essentials

Poison formed in the Pennsylvania ‘burbs back in 1983, inspired by classic arena rockers like Kiss, but they became one of the defining hair metal bands of the decade. After moving to L.A., the band released their 1986 debut, Look What The Cat Dragged In, a peerless piece of glammed-up humour and power pop that was a surprise hit. Their follow-up was even bigger, producing a US No. 1 power ballad and some instant party classics. The band's fortunes waned as grunge took hold of America's youth, but Poison continue to do big tour business thanks to their loyal fan base.
