French reggae singer Pierpoljak started his adventurous musical career with a self-titled debut in 1995. Since then he's developed strong ties with Jamaica, recording nearly a dozen albums between Paris and Kingston. Outspoken and socially conscious, Pierpoljak paints evocative pictures of the rootless and disadvantaged and pays homage to nature and travel, all over a mix of reggae, dub, pop and soul. These tracks might be laidback, but they're entirely in touch with the world around them, too.
