Unhinged and restless but self-aware, Les Savy Fav have never stayed on one path for long. They could have continued in the post-hardcore direction set by 1999's The Cat and the Cobra, but instead became disco-tinged art punks on 2001's Go Forth. And 2007's Let's Stay Friends could've been a post-hiatus victory lap, but they rebuilt their approach again, expanding their sound with a dizzying array of influences. LSF's schizophrenic musicality is even more apparent in their legendary live shows, with Tim Harrington's theatrics encapsulating the band's unpredictability.
