Formed in Dallas, Texas, but with roots in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí, La Energía Norteña perfectly encapsulates the borderless storytelling at the heart of música mexicana. The band kickstarted its adventure in 2010, led by singers Adrián Zamarripa and Moises Cuevas jr, who cultivated a traditional norteño style and cut their teeth performing at weddings and quinceañeras. La Energía Norteña also features saxophone arrangements that add melodic depth to each new production, and in 2011 won a talent show landing the group a record deal with Fonovisa's Azteca Records. Known affectionately to fans as “Los Energy Boys”, the band is also regarded among the genre's top romantic crooners thanks to Valentine's Day staples like “14 de Febrero (Mariacheño)” and “El Amor de Mi Vida”, as well as the transcendent torch song “Los Ángeles Existen”.
