Jimmy Webb Essentials

As one of pop's premier songsmiths in the '60s and '70s, Jimmy Webb crafted classy yet catchy hits for Glen Campbell, The 5th Dimension, Art Garfunkel and many other artists, but he also maintained an impressive solo career. He rebooted the popular Campbell cut "Galveston" as a spare, acoustic-guitar-based track, and it's equally intriguing to dig into the farewell letter "If You See Me Getting Smaller I'm Leaving" and the rough-edged, psych-tinged rocker "Sleepin' in the Daytime". He's perhaps best known for his ballad “The Highwayman”, which inspired the country supergroup in the '80s.
