FIDLAR, the raucous and rowdy punk-rock group from L.A., got its start as an almost mythic live act with an equally memorable name. FIDLAR stands for “F*ck It Dawg, Life’s a Risk”, and the band spent the first few years inviting massive mosh pits to elbow along to its short, electric anthems about being young and silly, staying up way too late and making the most of each moment. Founding members Zac Carper and Elvis Kuehn met while working at a recording studio before releasing the outfit's debut self-titled LP in 2013. The bandmates' skate-punk credentials infused the record with a snarling energy, and they quickly began to capture the chaotic madness of their live shows in a studio environment. Later albums like 2019’s Almost Free found the group honoring its Cali punk roots while pushing its musical scope into uncharted, rock-leaning territories.
