With all the retro flavours infused into their sound, you'd be right to assume that the members of Exsonvaldes were greatly influenced by rummaging through their parents' tape collections. The French alternative rock band make music with both a vintage twist and a deep-rooted respect for rock's past. But they also put an authentic spin on their brand of effervescent indie pop, imbuing it with infectious choruses and lightweight melodies. Coupled with frontman Simon Beaudoux's throaty vocals, the results are simply exquisite.
