Known for his iconic overalls and oversized glasses, self-taught player Chico Che began working with La Crisis with a focus on infectious, positive music. His charismatic presence became an intrinsic part of the group's appeal, while the entire band went on to develop a signature sound. Propelled by vocal harmonies, Eugenio Flores' sax, assorted percussion, quirky keyboards and Che's driving rhythm guitar, La Crisis were able to shape their own inventive and sophisticated mix of cumbia, paso doble and merengue.
